McGrady’s Houston Keeps Rocketing Along

Rockets fly no more?Pretty amazing. Despite the loss of the Ming Dynasty, the Houston Rockets raced to the league best 14th win on the trot with a victory over Memphis. Even more amazing is that the hottest streak in the NBA is owned by a team that’s only ranked 4th in their division!

Yao ouchStill, I have to believe that the injury to Houston’s own Great Wall of China signals the demise of Houston’s chances. Yet again, Tracy McGrady won’t make it out of the first round.

No losses in February, the last time the Rockets lost was on January 27th against Houston. In that time, they’ve beaten New Orleans and Cleveland… but honestly – not much beyond that.

Given now no Yao, the game against 9th placed Denver today will be a very, very good test of where Houston are.
