Today’s Top Stories In Japan…

7 03 2008

Hatsune Matsushima!Well… today’s top story for me is that I have a new job, one that’s going to require a major shift for me. Leaving the central Japan city of Nagoya, and heading down South to Fukuoka prefecture to work at a very, very nice job. Big move for the lil’ family tho’…

Anyway – today’s top stories in Japan/sports were:

  • The Sumo wrestlers involved in the death of Takashi Saito have been suspended… [Daily Yomiuri] Suspended? You’re kidding… although this may end up being academic – as they will most likely end up in prison…
  • Nomo tosses 3 innings of shut-out… [Daily Yomiuri] Wow… Nomo’s still around? I kid… good to see the ol’ Tornado still doing it…
  • Australian Rugby Boss John O’Neill states that he thinks Japan could have a Super 14 team… [Mainichi Shimbun] Really? Don’t see it happening soon… still – a good idea in the right direction…
  • Manager Osieck convinced Reds on the right track (J-League Soccer)… [Japan Times] Thinks they can win J-League again…
